My story

I graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, where I studied with the world’s leading health and wellness experts. I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories including Ayurveda, gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and everything in between. In early 2020, at age 62, I became a certified Yoga Instructor after nearly a lifetime of practicing yoga. In June, 2021 I completed additional yoga training so I am now a 500 hour level Yoga Instructor.

I’ve had various health issues in my life, post-having children. Plagued by gut discomfort, inflammation, arthritis, thyroid cancer, gallstones, and weight gain, I needed to get to the root cause of my health concerns. My journey toward good health began seven years ago, when I was a beta tester for a well-known functional medicine doctor’s detox book. A few years later, at 60, I set out on a quest to find out what works for my body. I released 20 pounds more, cut out inflammation, and changed issues in my gut. I feel better than I have in 30+ years!

I’m passionate about taking the lessons I’ve learned, in life and my rigorous training, to help you achieve a healthy, energetic spirit from the inside out. When you feel in balance, you can connect with your body in a way that is freeing.

A lifelong entrepreneur and community leader, I built and managed a successful small company and did the same for three non-profit organizations. I found my true calling in health and wellness, and it gives my life meaning to be able to help you achieve the transformation you desire. Together, we’ll figure out what works for your uniqueness. As I’ve learned in my journey, there’s no one easy fix for everyone–we’re all bio-individual. And we’re each capable of aging awesome.

My approach

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness. I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Do you overeat because of job or relationship stress? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we’ll look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.

I work with my clients to get in touch with their body’s needs because life happens and needs change over time. I’ll equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions in any circumstance. Each person is capable of making well-informed decisions as their own expert, not the latest magazine article or fad diet book.

Let’s define what you value most from your well-being. We’ll use these visions to motivate specific goals that bring you closer to where you want to be. As your coach, I won’t dictate a diet for you. But together, we’ll explore why some foods make you feel better than others and how to strategically use that feedback. We’ll co-create your health goals to achieve within reasonable time frames and set actionable objectives so you know exactly what you’re working toward.
